For those who want to try SCUBA, a resort course can be taken. You will learn the basics of SCUBA equipment and then do a shallow dive with a Dive Master. The cost for the resort course is $130 and includes all of the equipment.

We were lucky to see this whale jump from the water and bring all 20 tons of its self back down with an atomic splash. Other residents of the Sea of Cortez that we may see are Fin Whales, Bryds Whale, and several species of dolphins.

This shallow near-shore reef is breath taking. With very little effort you can float along the surface and see the only coral reef in North America on the Western Side.

The splash in the distance is the result of a 20 ton humpback whale breaching or jumping out of the water and throwing its body back into the sea. Humpacks, Fin Whales, and Bryds Whales are just a few of the whales we could see on this trip in addition to dolphins.
